GUARANTEE:
The SELLER guarantees the BUYER that at the time of purchase, the puppy is in great health to the best of our knowledge and has received proper vaccinations and de-worming’s appropriate for its age. We also guarantee your puppy from all terminally genetic diseases listed below, until 12 months of age.
HEALTH WARRANTY: (only applies to puppies purchased before 6 months of age)
The Seller agrees to provide the following health warranty only: No other health warranty or guarantee- expressed or implied- is provided. This health guarantee covers ONLY the following 6 life threatening genetic diseases:
*Severe Hip Dysplasia *Sever Elbow Dysplasia *Megaesophagus *Wobbler’s Syndrome
*Addison’s Disease *Cardiomyopathy
Should said puppy develop any of the above listed genetic diseases which makes it necessary to euthanize said puppy before it is 12 months old, the Seller agrees to replace the puppy with another of the same color and sex once the seller has one available.
This guarantee covers only a replacement puppy. All veterinarian fees or other expenses incurred will be the Buyers responsibility. There will be no refunds or reimbursements of any money for veterinary bills or other expenses incurred by the buyer.
Prior to replacement, the Buyer agrees to provide all health records showing the puppy/dog has received the appropriate care/vaccinations/deworming mentioned above, along with a written diagnosis from a licensed veterinarian, specifically describing which disease has been diagnosed and how the diagnosis was confirmed. The seller reserves the right to also request any information on treatments that are available. The Buyer agrees to send a copy of all veterinarian reports, findings and test results to the Seller via email no later than 7 days from the date the puppy was euthanized, or this health guarantee is void.
In the event, death occurs to the dog due to an alleged terminal genetic disease within one year from the puppy’s DOB, a necropsy MUST be performed by a licensed Veterinary Pathologist to confirm the exact cause of death. If the necropsy shows the dog died due to a severe genetic disease the BUYER must provide the SELLER with proof in the form of official documentation (necropsy report) from the specialist. A copy of this documentation must be returned to the SELLER via US Mail postmarked within 7 days of the BUYER receiving it. Failure to do this will result in the cancellation of this guarantee and a replacement will not be given.
Should a terminal genetic disease be discovered, and all requirements outlined in this document relating to that condition are met, the SELLER will provide the BUYER a replacement puppy (when one becomes available) of equal or lesser value. The SELLER is not responsible for any costs incurred by the BUYER associated with the treatment or diagnosis of the puppy. All costs associated with the treatment and diagnosis of the puppy is the exclusive responsibility of the BUYER. We the SELLER reserve the right to confirm any of these results via independent Veterinarian examination before a replacement puppy is given. Results of this Veterinarian examination will be the final deciding factor as to determine in a replacement will be given.
Seller does not guarantee health problems arising from trauma, abuse or failure to maintain general health care of the dog. We do not guarantee against accidental death, environmental based problems, non-genetic issues, theft, or loss of dog due to anything other than what is stated in this contract. This warranty also does not include allergy or shedding issues, temperament or size issues, skin problems (such as acne or demodectic mange), HOD (Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy), PANO (Panosteitis), OCD (Osteochondritis Dissecans), DCM (can be caused by grain free food), heart murmur, Bloat, seizures, viral or bacterial illnesses, infections, improper bites, ear infections, hernias, hypoglycemia, Giardia, Coccidiosis, worms or parasites of any kind. It also does not include any illness due to the ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, physical injury or issues of unknown origin or that may have an environmental link. Upon execution of this contract all veterinary care and associated costs are the sole and exclusive responsibility of the BUYER.
CONDITIONS:
The BUYER has three days (72 hours) from the DOT to have the puppy examined by a licensed Veterinarian and have a copy of the results of this examination returned to the SELLER by email within 48 hours. Failure to do this will result in the cancellation of this guarantee. It will be null and void.
At the time of this initial exam, should the licensed Veterinarian diagnose the puppy with a terminally genetic disease, the BUYER must contact the SELLER via phone or email within 24 hours from the time of the diagnosis. Failure to do this will result in the cancellation of this guarantee. It will be null and void.
The BUYER must not let the puppy come in contact with the floor or any other publically accessible surfaces of the Veterinarians office (ie: office waiting areas and grounds outside the Veterinarian office) for any reason because of the possibility of contracting the Parvo virus. This also includes dog parks, pet stores or any other public places where Parvo could be contracted, before their vaccination series is complete. Failure to do this will result in the cancellation of this guarantee. It will be null and void.
RE-HOMING YOUR GOLDENDOODLE:
The SELLER offers a lifetime return policy for all dogs bred at Kentucky Country Doodles. Should it become necessary, at any point during the dog’s life, that the BUYER can no longer keep the dog for any reason; the BUYER must return the dog to the SELLER so we may re-home the dog to an approved home. The BUYER must contact the SELLER to request a re-home. The BUYER will be responsible for all financial costs associated with the dog’s re-homing. No refund will be given. If the BUYER re-homes the dog without the SELLER’s permission, this guarantee will be cancelled, and a lawsuit may be filed for breach of contract. This keeps our puppies/dogs out of the wrong hands, shelters and rescues.
NON-BREEDING CLAUSE:
At Kentucky Country Doodles, our Goldendoodles are sold on a non-breeding contract. The BUYER agrees to spay/neuter the dog within 7 months of the puppy’s DOB. Spaying/neutering must be performed by a licensed Veterinarian and a copy of the results of the procedure returned to the SELLER via US email within 7 days of the procedure. Any costs associated with the procedure are the sole responsibility of the BUYER. If the dog is bred, SELLER can repossess the dog immediately and a $1500 fine will be due for breach of spay/neuter clause. Failure to do any of the above will also result in the cancellation of this guarantee. It will become null and void.
MAINTENANCE:
The buyer agrees to keep this dog in good health by providing preventative health care including, but not limited to: Providing routine vaccinations, treatment for internal and external parasites, heartworm prevention medication, flea and tick prevention medication, regular baths, grooming, proper housing, and any other procedure or medication that a licensed Veterinarian would recommend as necessary for the proper upkeep of the dog. Upon execution of this contract all veterinary care and its associated costs are the sole and exclusive responsibility of the BUYER. Failure to do any of the above will result in the cancellation of this contract. It will be null and void.
CONTACT:
The BUYER must send updates along with current pictures of the dog to the SELLER via email or Facebook every 4-6 months to ensure the safety and well-being of the dog. (We also love to see our babies grow!) Failure to this will result in the cancellation of this contract. It will be null and void.
